Trans fluid leaking from the gauge fitting any other better.

Okay ive bought a autometer trans fluid temp gauge.I have a trans fluid cooler with a fan and the it goes back in to the normal cooler in the radiator and then back to trans i have a t fitting i bought at ace and with some metal extensions comeing from the t fitting and then about 2inches of rubber hose's on each side. then ends clamped on there(2 clamps on each side) then the sender in the t fitting. But i have to add tranny fluid like everyday and to day i noticed that its leaking from the where the rubber hose goes over the metal extension. And the threads have tranny fluid comeing from the t fitting. But i wraped it like twice with that white tape crap.Anyways i would like to know any other ways to get that reading and i was thinking about running steel bradied lines from the tranny can i get to the cooler lines where there on the tranny do i have to take the tranny off to get to the lines to take them off. Also i wanted to know what might be leaking if its no all just the t fitting because i changed my tranny fluid when i put a new tranny mount on the so it was really easy to put the gasket on the tranny pan straightso i know that dosent leak but i saw fluid on the crossmember alot and then one time when i was driving i saw just a little smoke just hardley any.Coming from the passanger side but it could of been that little pin hole thats in my cat.

SORRY for the long post.
