just today coming home i stoped at a light, then took off and noticed that i had a slugish take off, so i did it again and noticed it taking off in 2nd. im like wtf is going on it a rebiult tranny with 16,000 mi on it and a shift kit. i tryied to ajust the cable to see if anything happens, got back in the car took off in 1st but it held the rpm a lil longer than it supposed to,then came to another stop light and took off in second again ? i dont know what to do ?

 

Sounds like a governor problem. Take it out, and have someone who knows transmissions check to see if the internal valve moves freely.
