Noise coming from transmission???

Noise coming from transmission???
Well just noticed it recently but when it shifts from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 1st it will make this metal ***** sound, its not a clank and not a clunk but like a ***** sort of like a spring hitting something. I was just wondering if it means something, transmission is shifting fine and not slipping or anything.
