tv cable adjusted correctly? if your transmission man can't answer this for you i'd be looking for another transmission man. don't think it'd be an issue with anything but the trans.

well he tried to blame that on me the first time. he said the tv cable wasnt adjusted properly. but the thing is...when we put the tranny in, we filled it with fluid, started the car (while it was still on jackstands), pulled it down to reverse....seemed fine, nuetral, fine, then OD......OD was not there. it was like the car was still in nuetral. pulled it down off the jackstands, took it for a little test drive...1st gear slipped and shifted very weak, 2nd the same, 3rd the same...and there was no 4th (OD).

So we called the tranny guy, he said he needed to look at it. we pulled the tranny out, sent it back to florida (i had to pay), he supposedly rebuilt it (again) sent it back, we put it in.....and it did the same thing.

also, after ttest driving it both times....the tranny fluid smelt very burnt. but it had good color.

sorry the story is so long..

Check out www.tvmadeez.com's TV System 101 and re-adjust
the TV cable. There are too many things which could cause a no-
fourth- gear complaint to list here, and a complete teardown
would be needed to check all of them.
