Do i have to change stock ecm with high stall tc?

Ok, i have been having alot of tranny problems. This is my second "rebuilt" transmission that is doing the same thing. I installed it, started it....and 4th (OD) gear won't do nothing. I changed over from stock tc to a 2400-2600 stall. The car will pull ok in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd....feels really weak, but it seems to shift fine. Then when I put it into overdrive, i have to rev really high just to get the car to move. And it doesn't move very much. I have talked to the tranny guy and he thinks it is something with my car. Could it be the TC? ECM?

Someone please shed some light on this. I am sofa king lost. I have spent so much money & time on this stupid car. I am without transportation. HELP!

Could this be something else or is this for sure a tranny issue?

I posted this in the tranny forum too....i need help.

I really dont want to lie to you and give you any wrong info but i want to help you b/c i just had to rebuilt mine b/c of someone elses stupidty. But i seriousley dont beleive its the ECM that has to do with anything b/c all it controls really is the convertor lockup.
It sounds like the 4th gear switch or the clutches are slipping when you go into overdrive b/c you have alot of strain on the trans. But i dont know for sure. Sorry i couldnt help.

I don't see the ECM causing it, correct me if I am wrong but doesn't the ECM just control LOCK UP? It sounds like you may have a lip seal gone bad or clutch burned. How NEW is this tranny?
