help w/ 5 speed in my S10
i have a 94 S10 w/ a 4.3L and 5 speed. when i shift gears,my trans. makes noise....not grinding, its just like u can hear it being shifted and i dont think its supposed to be like that. And another thing is that if i try to put it into reverse,it grinds....but if i put it in like 1st or 5th and then do it,its fine...WTF??
i checked the clutch fluid and it appeared fine.
thanx for any help

well its probably your clutch master cylinder.normaly the slave cylinder leaks when its bad. dont by a cheap c/m. i did 2 months ago and it solved the problem, but now its leaking down already so im gonna have to go and do it again.

Well you got yourself a run of the mill 5 speed thats had a replacment clutch. They all do that, if you replace the slave it might help but get one from GM or nappa pre-bled ready to rock & roll or you will never get the air out. For some reason the replacment clutch set's are a nats **** smaller and the tad bit of air trapped in the slave wont let it push as much as they should.
