no more speed

Just now, I was driving in the highway, not fast.. 120 km/h maybe
All of a sudden, the car doesnt want to accelerate.
It slows down slowly ...

Either in OD, D or the other gears.. it wont go any faster that 40 or 60 km/h.

Stepping on the gas feels like it turns into nothing, and starts to jerk.

even reverse... Neutral.. or park.. it wont accelerate much either.

The engine light is on .. theres a vibration under the driveshaft..
maybe comming from the tranny ?

the car has 180k .. original.. dont know..

The guy that sold it to me said he bought it for the kit (91 ground effect) his story sounded lame.. but the car ran well.. didnt check it with a mechanic.. im to blame I guess...

I assume its too late now to bitch and moan..

Just wasnt ready for a restoration NOW

thats for any advise or help

it might possibly be, my car did it, and i couldnt rev for crap.

Also the cat will get red hot after awhile, with dual cats i wouldnt think that they would both get stopped all of a sudden.

Hmmm......I don't know if this is even possible to happen while you're driving but, here's a possibility:

I don't know the official name of it,...but check the brown or black wire next to your heater box that you are supposed to disconnect wen you mess with your timing. The way your car is vibrating and having little acceleration sounds like what happens when it is not plugged in or is possibly shorted.

Right after I mess whith my timing mine will act up every once in a while,...even when it is plugged in.

Something to look into...and I'm sure someone else could explain it better than I am.
