no shifting after new heads, and intake install????

got all done adding the heads, 4 barrel intake on my 91 bird, i am quite sure i hooked everything up right, although a ground wire got kinda piched that bolts to the back of the head, but the car runs fine, but stays in first, the just kinda revs and losses speed, anyone have any idea what this could be, its a 91, with lock-up converter, any chance a wire didnt get hooked up, or could that ground wire be it? this just seems too wierd, and the tranny has always worked perfectly. Could anyone please help me out figuring this problem out? I am quite lost, and never expected this.

Did you remember to hook up the T.V. Cable from the transmission back to the Throttle Body?

If you did, it probably needs to be adjusted? Although I thought that the TV Cables on those were self adjusting...

its hooked up, and yea, self adjusting, i originally hooked it to the wrong prong on th tbi unit, but realized this and corrected it before driving more than 50 feet, although it did still shift then, and now not at all, and after about 1 minute, it just looses speed and crawls along. just to clarify for myself, it does hook to the bottom prong right? the one that goes away from the throttle?
