Sounds like 400# of boost

My rear sound like the biggest blower/turbo in the world. The only things that have not been changed are the gears and the center section. Help

By whole thing i guess you mean the whole rear? I do not have the money for a 12 bolt right now. 2300.00 for a strange 12bolt is a little much. Anyone know where to get one cheaper?

A junkyard. Couldn't see more than $50-$100. Granted it's just a band aid but eet works.

mine did the same thing after being beat on for a year. Started to wine really bad. The backlash opened up and after that the teeth on the gears developed strange wear patterns. If the one you have is a 10 bolt then all you need to do (bit of an understatement) is to swap over the new diff and gears.

I don't know where you are located, but if you end up having trouble with your new gear install and you need something to throw in the car right away I have a 3.08 open rear you can have for $50. It's complete with brakes and e-brake cables. I'm in Phoenix, AZ.
