Newbie Please not Flame.. 4l60E computer running a 4l80E?
Hi,
I dont know if you all have been asked this before the seach didn't really answer this question.
I the a 96 LT1/4L60E combo, of course the trans is dead.
I was wondering if the computer for the 4l60E will run the 4L80E ?

The 4L80-E is build differently, so it has different shift strategies as well as different solenoids. It also uses an input speed sensors and an output speed sensor, something a 4L60-E computer is not setup to handle.

TCI computer
Okay,
So one would have to buy something like the TCI transmission computer setup to run the Auto.
And us the other computer for the engine mangement ?
