3-4 shift point of 700-R4
I have noticed that my 700R4 seems to shift too early when getting on the freeway or anytime it shifts to 4th (OD). It tends to bog down (rpm's are low), and not have power to pick up speed at a decent rate for getting on the freeway. I have adjusted the tv cable already and the local shop said it is because of the check ball in the valve body. The thing is, I don't remember it doing this before it was rebuilt. Any ideas?

I just thought of something else. This just started occuring after a rebuild and from what I understand the previous owner had a shift kit in it, so maybe that had something to do with it.

If you just had it rebuilt, go back to em and tell them this... maybe they used the wrong spring on the 4th gear valve...
