4th gen rear in 3rd gen question

4th gen rear in 3rd gen question

ok as it says i just bought a 4 gen rear w/4.10 richmond gears in it. i got everything thing i need but the p valve do i need it to install the rear?or can i just buy one and put it in later.

if you have the flat sided machined alumiunum PV i think you'll be ok. give it a try and see how it works out

ok i want to put a 4th in rear in my 84 TA i heard it bolts right in what are guys talking about p valve and pv thing? also any ideas on how to hook up e brake cable to the disc brakes on new rear any help would be great

i just finished its great.i havent done the ebrakes yet it bolted right in.i just put a 99 rear in my buddys third gen to so they fit as well

Aren't the fourth gen's wider and set the brakes out farther into the wheels or push the same 3rd gen wheels out more?

Yes, about 4" total, 2" per side.
