700R4 Front Seal
Ok now i am going to see if i am on the right track with guestimating my time to do this. I figure for the full job maybe about 5 hours. I am going to go to a friend of mines tranny shop and he is going to let me use his lift, tranny jack and so fourth. I figure while im at it and since i need it i will replace my flywheel (i have like 3 teeth chipped a little) and also my motor, tranny, and torgue mount. So what time do you think all of this will take say around 5 or 6 hours? Also my tranny has about 90,000 miles on it would it be a good idea or bad idea to go with a shift kit?

It should take about 3-4 hours to accomplish the job since you are utilizing a lift, tranny jack and I am guess some air tools. I've replaced 700R4 on Camaros/Transam as well as an s-10 4x4 blazer. (working ont he floor using a floor jack would take longer) Definelty replace the front and rear seal on the tranny and why not even put a corvette servo while you are at it. Good luck on your task and maybe you can even put some pictures of the work in progress.
I had to remove and replace a 700r4 on my 4X4 s10 Jimmy,
1st time it took 8 hours removal and 8 hours to install
2nd time it took 4 hours out and 3 hours in
3rd time i dont know I got so sick of it I had a friend of mine do it. He had it out 2 more times.
6th 3 hours to remove 3 to install (dont let your friends work on your car. I learned the hard way installing the parts that they forgot.
7th time I called probuilt I got it figured out and so far it still runs oh yeah 2 hours out and 2 hours in.
