My speedo does not work when my car is cold after 20 mins of driving then my speedo picks up and shows my speed. Does this sound like the VSS is going bad? All the othere guages work. Any ways i called GM and there are 3 different VSS for my year car. I then called Autozone and they only showed 1 in there computer.
I have a 1991 Camaro RS V-6 3.1 with a 700-R4 110 MPH Speedo.
Would the one from autozone work or will i have problems with it because gm has three different ones for my car. If any one has replaced theres how did you find out what one you had. And how hard are they to change.

you have a magnetic pick-up speedo right? 90'-92' . if GM has a part for you give them your tranny code or the vin or find your build sheet and see if they can help you with that info. GM discontinued the 85'-89' electric speedo vss in 1997. i know cause i tried to find one and they told me, your sh*t out of luck.
