Gear Identification

I just bought an 86 iroc with the 9 bolt rear end. Without jacking the car up and testing it, is there any other way to determine the rear end ratio? I know on the 10 bolts there is an axle code beside the diff, is this true on the 9 bolt also? Is there an RPO for each gear size? I think the only RPO is the G92 for perf. axle ratio, but mine doesnt have this.

my 9 bolt has a tag that says "BW 3.27"

but the only way to be sure is to pull the cover off and do a little division....

If you do some math you can mark a tire and then roll the car forward one turn, while someone counts the times the drive shaft turns the yoke,.You can get a real good guess.
