TH700R4 4th gear question
Has anybody used the "B-Car Fix" Part #8673948? It alows a full throttle upshift into OD. I bought one of these, and plan on installing it this weekend when I put my tranny back together.
My real question is, after the new sleeve is installed into the valve body, do you install the spring first or the plunger, and which way does the plunger go into the sleeve, and exactly where in the valve body does it go? This part as far as I know doesn't replace the kickdown plunger/sleeve, it goes some where else in the valve body.
The kit from GM doesn't have any instructions and the GM Parts Dept. didn't have any info either. I have a diagram that I got off of another website, but it is not what I am looking for.

It is the 3-4 shift valve & sleeve. When take out the original 3-4 shift valve, just install the new one in reverse order. I would get a build book when doing this (if your not familiar with this transmission). You will need new gaskets, filter, pan gasket, etc.

Thanx!
Thanx for the help!
I just finished rebuilding the tranny today. It was the first time I ever did one. I took it over to my Dad's to rebuild it over there. (He is a tranny guy) We assumed the parts (B-Car Fix) went in place of the 3-4 shift valve from the pics in the ASTG book but we were not sure. All I have to do to complete the tranny is modify the valve body and install the motor and tranny into the T/A.
