does this sound bad?
ok i was driving down the street and my friend was next to me. i have a 700-r4. i was doing about 5 mph and i pulled it in 1st and shifted at 5000 rpm and it went into 2nd then at 5000 rpm i shifted into 3rd( d drive) and it didnt shift so i put it into 4th( over drive) and it didnt shift so at about 5300rpm i let off and it shifted. then i came to a lite and left it in d drive and floored it and it shifted at 4200 every time and into 3rd so why wouldnt it not shift before? i have never had a problem with it before when i manually shift. it has been in the shop before for not shifting out of first and they tore it apart and said there was nothin wrong with it and i went a picked it up and it was fine untill it did this. and it doesnt affect normal driving. so any advice would help thanks

Sounds like what mine's been doing for a couple of years.
Too much clearance or worn 3-4 pack. Normal driving is fine, but if I shift down & floor it, the exact response you described.
