Droppin clutch on an auto
I havn't done this nor do I plan too.. BUt I was just wondering if you could shift your car into neutral stock R4 and rev your engine then put it into drive.. would this simulate dropping your clutch like in a manual or owuld it just end up messing your tranny up.. just a question..

Never a good idea. A very easy way to blow the converter, or toss a driveshaft as mentioned.
What you want is a trans brake. Check out the thread.

The logistics would be appreciated if somone could explain (cough probuilt or tko cough) what exactly happens inside the transmission when someone "neutral bombs".

My understanding is that the pump is spinning at a high rpm and building a good deal of pressure in neutral. When you slam it into gear all that force is directed directly through the converter, and it balloons the converter case, sometimes permenantly. This can tweak the fins inside out of alignment, as well as ruining the clearances inside the converter, quickly leading to it becoming junk,
Even if the converter holds and the trans engages it puts a horrible shock load on the driveshaft, which can lead to it making its exit stage left.
