Swapping 84 700R4 into a 91 RS

Engine: LG4
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 02 WS6 Rear w/3:42
Swapping 84 700R4 into a 91 RS
Ok, I might be swapping my 700R4 into a 91 RS. I have been told that since my 84 speedo is cable driven and the 91 is electric I will have an obstacle. What am I going to have to do to get the 84 700R4 tranny to work in the 91? How much is it going to cost? Thanks.

If the drive gear (on the output shaft) is a different tooth count, swap them. Use the 91 VSS unit in the 84 tailhousing. Easy.
