auto tranny offered
Was there a difference in the auto tranny that was bolted up to the 305s and 350s or were they the same (internally)? And Would the internals be different for different rear gear ratios?
Thanks,
Mark

As far as I know there the same, why not go to the Transmissions and Drivetrain board? they would know.
the only difference that I am aware of is in late 1986 they modified the valve-body and made some things a little better.

In 1987 they changed the 700R4 in a few ways. I don't pretend to understand the real differences but apparently from everything I have read the 1987 and newer transmissions were better than pre-87 transmissions. But everything between the 305 and 350s should be the same.
