Need help in choosing a gear set
Need help in choosing a gear set
Ok, plans are to drop 350 with approx 400hp to it. I am running a t-5 on an 88 camaro. I really dont understand the whole gears thing, just been told when changing the engine to change them. I have found 3.42, 3.73, and 4.10. This will be an everyday driving car when its warm, I dont want anything too extreme just something that compliments the car.

From what I have been reading it seems like the 3.42 is a good way to go on this. Now when people talk about series 2 and 3, what does that mean and how does it apply to my car? I dont know if I have a posi or not, I bought the car from my best friend and havent done much due to lack of money at times from college. Any suggestions?
i'd find out what i have first before i go thinking about changing it. what induction you have? that would be a factor in picking a gear. as for series 3:08 and lower are 2 series and higher than 3:08 is a 3 series.
Yah I wish I could tell yah and be more helpful but I have no idea whats in the back end and couldnt tell you for some time, the car is sitting underneath a car hood out by my barn with at least a foot of snow around it. As far as induction are you asking like carb?tbi?or fi? I dont know what your asking me Im still learning, but if you are asking that I am running a carb
