What's a 5spd worth?
More importantly this one...
ad reads:
BORG warner 5 speed. Removed from 87 IROC. Excellent working condition, 143,000 kms.
Picture shows only the gearbox. No bellhousing, pedal assembly or interior shifter plate/boot.

Couple hundred at best. A while back I was trying to sell my 30,000 mile T5 for $500 and didn't have any takers. I was too high.

They'd have to pay me to take it. It's non-WC. Weak as can be. Basically worthless.

Yes I am building a 406. I was just researching options for 4 and 5spds. A factory T5 with a g-force upgrade was a thought but after looking around I found Tremec's new 3550 TKO-500 and 600 race trannies to be an economical solution and obviously better performer. Which is the route I'm going now.... well thats after I kill the 700r4 currently residing under me this summer. Hopefully she'll hold on radial t/a's with an open diff with some nursing
btw, how'd you know I'm building a 406? hmmmmm?

A WC T5 with 33,000 on it is probably worth about $150-$300 depending on where and how you sell it. You'll probably get more for it on eBay that through a local sale.

No.... 88-up only. 87-back are the first design. 88-up are W .... Wor..... {puuuuuuuukkkke} sorry, I just can't force myself to utter that PIT Team / One-Minute Manager / Total Quality / Six-Sigma buzzword. It makes me sick to my stomach.
So I'll just call it what it really is; 2nd design.
