Would this work

friend is swapping his tranny out of his mustang
he has a stock t5 tranny out of a 92 mustang gt

would the t5 fit on my 86 camaro? 350block

is it a hard swap if so?

Don't believe so, the T-5s in our vehicles are mounted at a certain angle. I think the mustang t-5's shifter mount point is different also. I can't stand driving a mustang, the fricken shifter is like right under where our radio pods are.

Engine: L69 w/ TPI on top / 305 4bbl
Transmission: `95 T56 \ `88 200-4R
the input shaft spline & length are wrong

the output shaft spline is wrong

the shifter is not in the same exact location

the trans won't bolt up to a chevy bellhousing.

Anything is doable; possibly with that new mcleod modular bellhousing. But after you buy that, you won't have saved a dime or time over just getting an f-body T5.
