T5 about to die, I think...

Wining noise while idling in neutral. I was thinking it was the caged bearing under 1st gear. Now I think its the needle bearings between the input shaft and the tip of the ouput shaft.

I guess I'll be pulling it back out as soon as I can the GTP fixed...

From: out of my mind; be back in 5 minutes....
Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
It could also be the bearings on the countergear shaft. That spins whenever the input shaft does. Unless something's broken

I was wondering if it was the coutershaft bearings but here is the strange part...

At first, it would make noise when you came to a stop (idling in neutral). But if I let the car drift a little, the noise would stop. Now its a CONSTANT NOISE, but only when idling in neutral! Hell, I dont have a clue at this point.

The GTP is going in the shop tomorrow so I will be pulling the T5 soon.
