what driveline setup

I am trying to find out what kind of tranny and rear end I need if i'm planning on putting a 350 in my car and it will probably put out about 300-350 hp. It will be put in an 83 firebird t/a auto, and I am wanting to put in manual tranny. Thanks alot, Mike

for rear end try to find a thirdgen 9 bolt with a good ratio / posi / disk brakes.

for tranny look into the t-56 6 speed or 5 speed tko tremec, a world class t-5 might be fine with some g-force interals.

i think since u have a 83 u have a different type of tranny crossmember / mount, so u might want to look into a new crossmember and one of our sponsors has you covered for that www.spohn.net

i would get an aluminum 4th gen dirveshaft alo.

try to shop around on the classifieds here for most of the parts, also try ebay, and also look at Hawks thirdgen another one of our sponsors.

good luck and welcome to thirdgen.org
