Saginaw tranny

My 82 Camaro came with a Saginaw and I'm about done putting a 327 in it. I was wondering if my Saginaw was strong enough for my 327? The 327 is similar to my neighbors which is putting out about 390hp

Just depends on how you use it. Saginaws are crap no one used them way back when except for a I-6 just need to move setup. Actually You would find the same model number sag in a 4 banger as you would in a V-8 car. Thats the reason you can find soo many floating around in junk yards. I'd look for somthing else personally but if you dont bang it around too much it should live for awhile.

Swap it for a T10 if you can find one.
