Question about 4th gen rear end and clutch..

I've been looking in tech pages and seaching for a while now and can't seem to find the answer to two questions... can you use the stock clutch pedal with a LS1/6-speed? and will a 4th gen rear bolt right up to a 3rd gen? (so i won't have to make any kinda brackets to mount the LCA, tourqe arm, panhard bar, etc..)

Any 4th gens will bolt right up to your 3rd gen. You will have to modify the e-brake and possibly the brake lines a bit. Also, the 4th gen rears are wider by about 2" per side and will cause your stock wheels to stick out. You will have to live with that or go with 4th gen wheels. I am not sure if I understand your clutch pedal question. You can use your stock pedal assmebly or the ones out of an LS1 car if you are going with an LS1 T56 and motor. There will be fab work either way.

You Can use your pedel. I have an LT1 master/slave cylinders and it hooked right to the firewall and to my pedal.(I only needed a block of wood under my carpet to keep the pedal from going too far) LS1 parts should also work. As for the rearend, it will fit(Im pretty sure), but the wheels will stick out more because the 4th gens are wider.
