best way to get a 700R4 rebuilt
I need help getting my baby on the road. I need to get the trany rebuilt and I am a bit short on cash. I can't seem to get her above 40 and she won't switch from 2nd to 3rd gear. All the other things that are wrong with her I can fix on my own. Got any advice send me a PM or e-mail me at AngelaAmator@aol.com
Thanks,
Heather

rebuild it
I had the same exact problem. I 1st thought it was the governor. NOT!. Turns out the planetary gear snapped in half and was barely keeping itself together. A few other things were going out also. Depending on the milage, rebuild it for a quick fix and get back on the road. If you have the time and money, I would look for a t-56 or t-5. IMHO a stick shift feels more like a real driving experience. my$0.02
