TH350 Vacuum Modulator - Red Stripe?

I'm putting in a TH350 tranny and I've read topics stating I should get the vacuum modulator with the "red stripe". There never seems to be any more info on it.

Is this a GM part or an aftermarket part? What brand? Where would I find this modulator?

Thanks!

What I would recommend is getting an aftermarket adjustable unit. Then you can " tune " your part throttle upshift points. Any AutoMatic Parts supplier should be able to get you one.

The aftermarket adjustable unit should come with a "red" stripe.

Adjustable is exactly why I wanted the mysterious "red stripe"

Thanks guys! :hail:
