Alright, I'm looking to add a mechanical VSS to the 700r4 from my '87 IROC (swapped into a different chassis). The ECM is (as I understand it) looking for the pulse setup from the optical on the speedo, and I'll need to convert it to the mechanical style found on the firebirds. What exactly do I need to do this? Any places I can get at it? From what I've found, all I should need to do is plug it inline with the speedo cable?

As I understand it, the ECU not seeing VSS is a bad thing... so.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
