how many bolts is the stock 92 camaro rs 305 and what is the difference between 12 and 10 bolt?

2 bolts

No really, the 12bolt is a lot stonger but has to be custom built to fit a thirdgen. There is also a couple of different 10bolts as well.

the 12 bolt has a ring gear diameter of 8.875'' (pretty sure thats right) and the stock camaro rear for your model has a ring gear diameter of 7.625".... there is also another 10 bolt with an 8.5" ring gear... the 12 bolt is alot stronger than the stock camaro rear, but if your not putting much HP and TQ to the ground then it would be useless to go that big...

Just so that everybody who reads this post knows...

if you want to know if ur car has a 9/10/12 bolt etc., just get under your car and count the number of bolts holding on the differential cover.
