9-bolt issues
Guys, my car came with the 9-bolt rear end. The posi doesn't seem to be working any more. I've heard that if you drain the diff oil, refill with synthetic gear oil and do NOT add limited slip additive, the posi function will come back to some degree. Any thoughts on this?
Also, where do you ger 9-bolt parts, nobody seems to carry them. Summit, Jegs, you listening??

Two of the cheaper places I have found while looking for parts. I was satisfied with both suppliers.
Edit: sounds like you need to shim your carrier too. Shims are not cheap. Larry Burd on this site sells them. The cones are wearing causing the diff not to lock both alxes. The first thing you should do is have it checked out to make sure its worth your while to fix. 9 bolts can be expensive so there is no need buying parts for something thats cheaper to replace than to rebuild.
