Which tranny have I got?

Which 5 speed tranny is in the 91 Formula 305 TPI? I believe my RPO code is MK6? Is that the World Class on NWC? Anyone know what the gear ratios are for 1 thru 5 on this tranny? (especially 5th).

Appreciate any help you can will be appreciated!

If it is the original T-5 then it is a WC T-5. Gears are:
2.95:1
1.95:1
1.34:1
1:1
either .59:1 or .7:1

Yeah if there is a HUGE rpm drop (almost 1000 rpm) between 4th and 5th then you prolly have the .56.

Gasgzlr,

How is your tranny holding up behind that setup that you have. I am going to have a similar setup and was just wondering?

Thanks bro

Thanks on the WC info for my T5. Now all I gotta do is figure out what my overdrive gear is. I'm evaluating a new trans - TKO or T56 conversion most likely. My new 383 we're installing is probably going to need a stronger trans... but at least the old motor is out. Tomorrow we put in the 383 - WHOOOOPEEEE!!!

Put the trans in 5th, spin the input shaft 10 times, and count how many times the output shaft turns.

Don't outsmart yourself.

If it is a MK6 the 5th gear is .73 if it was M39 5th is .63. As long as it is the original trany and 5th has not been changed a MK6 5th is .73
