Damn this car is testing my patience.

Now when i hit the gas from a dead stop there is a loud clunk. Not only the sound but i can feel the kick in my butt when it happens. Usually it only clunks once or twice at the most.
I inspected the entire car from the bottom and can't see anything loose and the bushing seem to be tight. It doesn't clunk when i am rolling along and hit the gas only from a dead stop.
Any of you camaro guru's have any ideas?

I looked at and tried to move the trans. If feels solid but does look like the rubber is starting to crack.

Tranmission mount, I'd almost bet my soul. Most people recommend polyurthane, but even a replacement rubber did wonders for mine and my friends. Easy job if you have a jack too.

Looks like you get to keep your soul. I took the old trans out and it came completely apart with very little effort. I couldn't get a poly here on the island without ordering so i got an OEM replacement and it works great.

Thanks,
Chris
