T-5 to T-56 speedometer questions.
I have installed a T-56 into my 1988 Firebird and I have the electric VSS in my Firebird. I have bought the dakota digital adapter to make the T-56 VSS work with my 1988 Firebird setup but I have a few questions on how to wire it. The instructions are unclear to me. The power, ground and dip switch seting are not a problem but which wires do you hook up to the dakota adapter. There is a brown wire and a yellow wire hooked up to my 1988 VSS where are these wires hooked up to the dakota adapter, and then where do the t-56 VSS wires get hooked up?
The instructions tell me that one of the t-56 wires is ground and should be hooked up to the ground and the other wire should go to the input. That is fine but then what do I do with my original brown and yellow wires from the 1988 wiring harness? One wire needs to go to the #4 output but where does the other wire go?
Any help would be appreciated.
