700r4 to TH350 swap HELP NEEDED
I'm sure this has been discussed many a time but just help me... I'm swapping the whole drivetrain in my car... I"m going from v6/ auto (2004r er whatever) to v8/th350. Here are my questions...
1.) Will my existing driveshaft work?
2.) Will my existing crossmember work?
3.) What mods will I need to do and how is the fit?
I was initially going to do a t5 swap... I have the trans and everything but i decided that a th350 would be better for power so... thats what im doing! Thanks in advance for any help!!!

1) No, it's too short (unless the TH350 is a 9" tailshaft version).
2) No, it's too short (needs to be moved forward, and since the frame rails aren't parallel, the crossmember needs to get longer as it goes forward).
3) Torque arm mount. Spohn can take care of all of this for you. The fit is fine.

Ditto. B&M and Hurst sell a changeover kit.I used the B&M kit ,had a machine shop fabricate a driveshaft [ 3 inch longer for 6 inch tailshaft 350].Also used the B&M megashifter.
