coverters

hey guys would like to put a 3000 stall in a 700r4 that I have planned to be built, but can you get a good converter and have a lock up on it still... woudl like that for highway, high speed driving.

absolutely, check out: Vigilante, yank, midwest convertors, ACT, Art Carr, etc. Do a search and you will find more info than you ever need.

Edge racing converters also makes great converters. I bought one on recommendation from dana at pro built and so far it has been great. -John

Thats who I'll probably go with too.. What size stall did you get? Edge recommended a 3000 for my mods....

I also got the 3,000 stall. the car seems to rev so much faster with the 9.5 inch converter as opposed to the stock twelve. I weighed the old converter drained at 41 pounds and the new converter with one quart of fluid at 30 pounds. -John

your running a 383 and Im running a 305 and with my mods I wonder why they would suggest a 3000 stall. When I talked to Andre at Edge he said go with the 3000. other companies have suggested a 2800 stall but Andre sonded like he knew what he was talking about..

It all depends on where your torque peaks out at and what gears you have.

Axle/Gears: 9 bolt 3.23
Just to throw in my 2 cents I have a TCI and I'm quite pleased with it and yes it's a lockup.
