T-5 swap what to do with TPS and connector?

Hopefully I have the right terminology.

I have swapped a T-5 from an 84 T/A into my 90 RS (LO3). Used the correct flywheel (1 pce rear seal) and installed the electronic speed sensor. I still have the original chip installed for the automatic (I'll be upgrading the chip later this year, but just want to get running for now.)

First question...what must I do with the Throttle Position Sensor cable, if anything? Can I just cut it (bolt cutters?) short under the dash and ignore it?

Second question...maybe I shouldn't have looked, but just behind where the console fits to the dash, (I know it's out of focus...I'm a lousy photographer) I found a connector with plug installed into it, and next to it was another plug exact same design that someone had taped "MAN" around. Should I swap these plugs? Is this what connects the Shift Light in instrument panel?

Are there any other surprises in store while running the stock LO3 automatic chip with my stick shift?

Thanks for any help.

I'll asume you are refering to the TV cable that went from the throttle body to the transmission. You can remove it. No need to cut it out, should just snap out.

Don't know about the elec conections though.
