gear swap help!

Engine: L03 chip, airfilter,dual exhaust..m
Transmission: 5-spd
gear swap help!
I can pick up a set of 3.73's from a buddy for $75, to put in my 91 RS, L03, 5sd. The gears are from his 88-89 10 bolt 1/2 ton truck Will they fit and if so what other parts do I need?

its doubtful that they will fit. if im thinking correctly the trucks had 8.5" 10 bolts and we have 7.5 ". if thats correct ur gonna need to look for a new set of gears.....

not 100% sure but i think the 1/2 ton truck is the same 7.5/7.62 ten bolts as the f bodys. if they are the same then they'd fit if it's the 8.5 then they wouldn't. my truck has the 14 bolt dana rear so i'm a bit in the dark.

Axle/Gears: 10 bolt with 3.23's and SLP Posi.
its the 8.5" rear. i helped my friend swap out his busted 8.5" 3.42's for a 14-bolt 4.10 set up. its deff. a 8.5". the S-10 is the ones that have the 7.5" 10-bolt
