Can somebody help me out here?? About a week and a half ago I was on the highway racing this stupid little mustang, when suddenly at 110 mph, my car dropped speed down to 50 mph which I assumed was my governor kicking in. What happened after that was what is worrying me. Ever since then, my car is putting out high power output on low speeds (0-40) but no power for anything above 50, and it is shifting EXTREMELY hard. I lost all my power!! I noticed that my car won't go above 2,000 rpms anymore, even when I floor it. What happened, now I can't even beat vans! That's messed up, I miss my speed, my baby is sick can anyone help??? I thought maybe a map sensor, but not sure. It is a 1989 Pontiac Firebird with a 1992 Firebird 305 TBI engine in it, with a 700R4 tranny. Any suggestions? I was going to replace my tranny, but don't know whether to stick with a 700R4 or go with a TH350. Which is better and what is the difference?
