Borg Warner axle removal?

hi im wondering how to get the axles out of a borg warner rear end b/c everything is sealed there is no lock bolt or c clip that i can see. do i have to remove the ring gear to get at it? well any help would be appreciated thanks

I believe that there are four bolts at the brake backing area. IOW there is a hub on the flange end of the axle that is bolted to the tube. The hub retains the axle & bearing.

Unbolt the backin plate n yankem out. Does any1 know where you can get new seals for these. Mine isnt leakin but when i take mine out i think it would be a good idea.

i'd guess any parts store or gm parts would have seals. i just looked at autozones site and they have them. if you have a puter you can look yourself.... wait.. never mind.

i tryed just pulling them out and its held in by something it is a 10 bolt not posi as well but i guess i'll go back out there and try to figure somethin out thanks for the imput

you have to pull the bolt out that holds the pin remove the pin then push the axle in and remove the C clip off the end of the axle
then slide the axle out

thanks everybody i got it out nothing a little brute force and anger wont fix i just needed a biger hammer the bearing was seized in there
