b&m changeover kit wont line up

Car: Camaro drag car, 98' c1500 vortec 350 for daily driver
Engine: whole bunch of tree fitties
Transmission: same as above
b&m changeover kit wont line up
I have a 91 camaro with 700r4 and Im changin over to a th350. I got the b&m kit and have the trans mount bracket on and bolted to the trans and I went to put the crossmember up to bolt it on and IT DIDNT LINE UP. I have everything on right and all. It is about an inch too far to the right. The tailshaft and rearend yolks are lined up perfect. I am so confused here please someone help. Any help would be appreciated.
