What goes in hole number 2?

I just changed my automatic over to manual. Here's my question.

The pedals i took from an 84 z28 have two places where the brake light swich could go, whats the second one for.

Also, can someone tell me what the brake light swich-looking thing on the cluch is for? looks like it's got a vaccum line on it or something...

I'll take a picture when the monsoon outside slows down

Thanks

That item with the hose on it would for the cruise control which is normally on the brake pedal in automatic cars.

There's one on the brake pedal and one on the clutch pedal in manual cars.... it wouldn't do to have the cruise trying to accelerate the car when you push the clutch in, would it?
