What Tranny?

I was reading in my Haynes manual how to change the fluid in my tranny and it says that after 1986 all cars have the 700R4 unless they have a standard of course. That true?

When I do my tranny fluid I want to do a BM shift kit which is why I'm asking. I was also wondering how difficult that is to install, they say easy but of course they aren't gonna tell you how much of a pain it was.

IMO your money would be better spent on a corvette servo rather than the shift kit. The 700r4 seems to respond better to that and you'll get the firm shifts ya want without messin with the stock valvebody

I already ordered a shift kit, is the B&M one just a valve body or what? How much are corvette servos and how hard are they to install?

A corvette servo is around $15.00 to $20.00 depending on where you get it. Its pretty easy to install, as easy if not easier than that shift kit. Most servo kits come with detailed instructions so you shouldnt have a problem.
