Torque Converter Problems

I did a search on here and this link was very helpful.

Only problem is i dont know where the TCC ( torque converter connector ) is located. In my book it shows it not in the engine compartment but, i cant quite make out were that spot is on the car. I had some electrical work done on the vehicle at a shop, but soon as i drove it away i notcied the converter was not locking in. Im going to call the guy later today and see if he knows anything, it did look like he cut to large ( 10 guage maybe ) black wires from under my dash... If anyone has any pics or a good description on where th TCC is located this would help out a lot.
Oh yeah, the transmission and torque converter are only about 1 year old, with maybe 3k miles one em, was the 1st thing i had to replace when i bought the vehicle, so i know theres a sensor malfunction or something. Is there anyone one of the sensors: Throttle posistion sensor, Engine temp sensor, or Speed sensor. that normal moreso than the others go bad? And whats the best way to check these sensor? I was thinking of pulling out the ECM and checking to see if it is getting the signals from each sensor. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The torque converter is located between the engine and the trans. There is an inspection cover under the car that you can remove if you really want to take a look at it but you usually cant find anything wrong on the outside of them.

If you think a senser is bad you should pull your codes using the procedure found in the tech article section of this website. It will tell you if there are problems with the sensors. If your check engine light hasnt come on you probably dont have any codes thou.

If your torque converter isnt locking up removing wires could definatly be the cause. There is a four wire connecter going to the trans. If any of those wires was cut out your converter wont lock up.

Ok well the thing is i do not have any codes. I have been playing around with the wires under the dash and none of them seem to be disconnected. Is this connector hard to get too? I mean i know there are 2 electric connectors that attach to the tranny. One is further back on the trans than the other. Which one is for the TCC?

The one above the pan rail close to the shifter shaft is the TCC lockup and 4th gear engaged connector. It's a challenge getting to it with the tranny in the car. The one on the back is the VSS (vehicle speed sensor).
