i have an 3.08 posi 28spline axle.
the only gears i can find for a 10bolt 7.5" are for a 27spline.
anyone know any sites that sell 3.73's for my vehicle? (2-series btw)

All 7½" 10-bolts have 27 splines on the pinion.
That has nothing whatsoever to do with the number of splines on the axles.
DON'T BUY the special gears. It WILL come back to bite you in the posterior someday. Buy regular gears and a spacer instead.
http://www.drivetrainspecialists.com...=28&cat=GM+7.5 is one that has just about anything you're likely to need.

This is going to be complicated, so write it down, or get professional help, or whatever.
Click on the link I posted. On your browser's menu, go to Edit, Find on this page, and type in "spacer", and press Enter. Magical things will happen.

Because if you use them, and then you come up with a 3-series posi (the SLP one for example) later on, you won't be able to use them. You'll have to buy and set up gears .... again.
They work fine, as far as working goes; but it seems like everyone I've ever known that used them, found themselves stuck having to buy regular ones sooner or later to replace them, when they wanted to make an upgrade.

Does SLP even have any more of those take-off posi's left? Last I heard, they only had the "upgrade" new off the shelf units.
Other brand posi units are available in 2-series.
Of course, that could be handled by upgrading with a 3-series posi carrier when the gears go in.

Well you already have a posi, so you're not in the market right this minute; what about tomorrow? Do you want to be stuck with having to find a 2-series posi (very difficult to come up with in an actual performance part, "2-series" not being a performance part spec in the first place); or would you not rather be able to use any posi you find? The difference in price is about $30 total. For $30 added to a job that's going to cost you about $800 by the time you're done with it, you can future-proof yourself. Pretty cheap insurance in my book.
RB,
thats this one: IK83-0750 GM 7.5 RING GEAR SPACER DTS 55
not this one: IK4111 GM 7.5 SOLID SPACER 18
correct?

Yes, the one called "ring gear spacer".
The other one is the solid spacer with selectable shims, that replaces the crush sleeve.
Lots of spacing going on...
