Should a t5 leak like this (out of car)?

I bought a t5 yesturday, I had it in my garage in a wheel barrow with the whatever you call the end with the shifter on it angled down. Today I go out there and its full of tranny fluid, it looks like it came from around the shifter. Should I be concered about anything, or will it be alright once its in the car and upright?

Couple more questions.
Would an 88 be a world class?
What kind of fluid should I put in there
Big torx bolt on side is the filler plug right?
Thanks.

Normal.

Yes. Post the # on the service tag (1352xxxxx) for more info.

ATF non synthetic

Off the top of my head, the Torx is the retainer bolt for reverse gear internal linkage and the fill plug is a 3/8 square drive but I'm not 100% on that.

Thanks.
I ran it though some thing I found, and it says "don't read casting numbers". I guess there is another number somewhere? This one is up twords the top right below the shifter next to the little circle with the year in it.
Year of manufacture is 87 though, so I guess no WC, must have been swapped in.

13-52-006 is an 82 AMC application trans. Not WC.

what you're looking for: metal tag, bolted down with a tailhousing bolt. sometimes rusty.

Found that already, number is rusted off
Not that it matters, I know its an 87 so it cannot be WC.

try a wire brush. the tag on my t5 was rusted up pretty good, until i cleaned it with a wire brush. it cleaned up remarkably well, and then i primed it and painted it.

I did that the first time I was trying to read it, well not a wire brush, one of those brillo type things you put on a drill. Now its clean, but the number is completly gone.
Good advice though, thanks.
