steel brake lines worth it?

well i got my summit catalog and saw the steel brake lines, just wondering if its something worth doing to my car?

Yeah the braided stuff is supposed to be firmer and not stretch like the rubber, giving you a firmer pedal and all. I wanna say it's around 100$ for all three? If you've got a reason to change the hoses, out, do it.

its a good upgrade from the factory rubber, especially if your brake lines are getting on in years, as most thirdgens are.

i put them on my 82 and all i can say is WOW that and Hawks pads and its really nice.

I found out installing my Ford 9". the lines were cheap....it's the fittings and adapters that kill you to hook it up.

I do know now since almost everything in my car is AN type fittings now, they are EASY to work with, seal great, and come apart easy when/if they have too.

you can save about half on the fittings by getting crimp on fittings and having the lines made at a hydrolic shop. down side is they aren't reusable.
