where to get New TV cable?

The clips that hold the TV cable on the plenum bracket are almost broken from the heat. Where can I get a new TV cable? Does GM carry them? How much should I expect to pay for one?
thanks!

Yes, the Gm dealership carries them. I got one about two years ago and I think I paid about $48.00 + tax for it then.

I got a TV cable for my carb car at autozone. If they dont have it in stock they can probably order it. I paid 28.99 + tax for one from the Zone.

u could also get away with calling it a kickdown cable. the TV in the TV cable name stands for Throttle Valve cable. they should know wut ur talking about when you say tv cable though

I got my detent cable from AZ....it was only $18....pretty good price I'd say.

Does anyone have a diagram of where it goes...I know where the Throttle bracket end goes but I cant figure out where the other end goes.....I think I followed it down to the tranny right beside the servo...it that correct? Am I going to have to drop the tranny just to replace it?

You won't have to drop the whole tranny, just the pan. Drop the pan and you will then see where it follows to. Remove the end of the cable and attach it to the valve that you see. I forget what it is called, as I am a newbie to trouble shooting the tranny myself and mine is on it's last leg.

Jim.

Thanks Trickster!>.....just like I thought, it is right beside the servo. Hell I cant even get my hand up in there to feel it real good...I guess I'll have to wait for when I buy a converter and do it all at the same time. Converter, Transgo kit and TV cable. Ive got 2 outa 3...just the converter to go. Should be around 2 more weeks. Saving up the money.
