t-56 help

i looked around and couldn't find what i was looking for.

can i use a stock lt1 flywheel if my stroker 383 crank is balanced to use a 400 balancer and stock 350 type flexplate. its a 1 piece rear seal crank. its a 96 350 block from a truck.

if not it would explain a weird feeling at 2500rpm that seems to make it shutter but stops at like 3000rpm. might be the carb (hard to explain).

thanks,
Jon

I don't know too much about balancing but thats the first I have heard of using an external balance damper with an intrenal balance flywheel. However I did have the exact same vibration in a stick car after I used a rebuilt clutch. I guess they didn't get the balance right or something but it was particularly noticable on the way down from revving it up right at 2500 RPM or so and it shuddered just as you described. It did mellow out after putting some mileage on it though. Don't know if its much help but just my experience.
